- Hi I'm Sarah. My husband Shawn and I adopted our beautiful daughter, Zoya from Eastern Europe in April 2010. She was born on June 3, 2008. In November 2011, we brought home our second daughter, Mila. She was born on March 11, 2011. We are blessed to be parents to these beautiful girls and love sharing our journey with others. We are currently in the process of our third adoption and are excited to bring our daughter home!

- June 24, 2011: Saw Laina's picture for the first time
- June 24, 2011: Inquired about Laina
- June 27, 2011: Wrote and sent family profile and pictures to birth family
- July 7, 2011: Matched with Laina
- July 8, 2011: Sent Reece's Rainbow FSP app and deposit
- July 19, 2011: Homestudy Visit
- July 28, 2011: Sent first set of documents to EE (CSPs and POAs)
- August 1, 2011: First set of documents arrived in EE!
- August 4, 2011: Homestudy draft complete, we are approved!
- August 9, 2011: Received Homestudy in mail, Sent USCIS application in
- August 18, 2011: Received USCIS receipt in mail
- August 19, 2011: Had fingerprints done in Buffalo
- August 19, 2011: Approved through USCIS!! I-171H faxed to us!
- August 22, 2011-Got dossier apostilled!
- August 22, 2011: MAILED DOSSIER TO EE!!!
- August 25, 2011: Dossier Delievered!
- September 15, 2011: Dossier Submitted!!
- September 21, 2011: Found out Laina is not available for adoption :(
- September 23, 2011: Committed to "Harlene"
- September 29, 2011: Got our SDA appointment date! Oct. 17th!
- October 14, 2011: Arrived in Country
- October 17, 2011: SDA appointment
- October 18, 2011: Received referral for baby girl!
- October 18, 2011: Boarded train for 15 hour journey to region
- October 19th, 2011: Met Our Daughter, Mila
- October 28, 2011: Received Court Date for 11/2
- November 2, 2011: Court Date-Named Mila's Parents!!
- November 3, 2011: 10 Day Wait Begins
- November 15, 2011: 10 Day Wait Over! Got Court Decree
- November 16, 2011: GOTCHA DAY!
- November 19, 2011: ARRIVED IN AMERICA! Mila is a U.S. Citizen

What else can one say? Now the question, what was in the wrapping paper? It will be interesting to see how she reacts to having her own toys/things/clothes, that she doesn't have to share with a group of other children.Just think she has been home a week. Is she beginning to feed herself? Carol
